It’s been hard to concentrate with the evil-never-ending-headache. So, we have some lovely book-related goodness that will be coming soon.  I did finally update my Winter 2007-8 Reading List – I’m at 48 books!

Upcoming Book Reviews:

• A fun, uplifting Chick Lit novel with some Christian overtones – You Had Me at Good-bye, by Tracey Bateman
• A Florida crime novel with plenty of zaniness – Atomic Lobster, by Tim Dorsey
• A book that takes us through a character’s many lives – The Reincarnationist, by MJ Rose.
• A trio of paranormal novels by Robin T. Popp that follows up on a previous review
• A novel that focuses on the mother/teen daughter relationship – The Secret Between Us, by Barbara Delinsky

But meanwhile, I’m about to crack open Kim Harrison’s newest novel in her Rachel Morgan series, The Outlaw Demon Wails, which will be released 2/26. I have an interview planned to follow the review, as well. woot! (I don’t just love the series because of the main characters name…) This is a really cool future world where humans live alongside vampires, witches, and other paranormals. It’s got suspense, intrigue, magic, and some romance, too. What more could you want?

PLUS there’s another paranormal book coming up on my bookshelf that’s tied to a new giveaway! Yippeee!

The girls and I are still loving Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, by James Patterson as a read-aloud chapter book. I had reviewed the series, and now I’m impatiently awaiting a review copy of book 4 – The Final Warning.

We’re hoping my head stops hurting so I can think straight for longer than a couple moments. So, what are all of you reading to yourselves? And to the kids?
