These are the equations in my neighborhood, in my neighborhood, in my neighborhood. Oh, these are the equations in my neighborhood. The equations that I meet when I’m walking down the street..

1 migraine + 3 squealing/screeching girls = sad mom

1 child who can’t open doorknobs + 2 girls who like to lock themselves in rooms = temper tantrums

1 dad home from a long day of work + 3 bouncy girls = wrestling on my bed

1 snuggly dog + 1 easily-cold mom = warm feet

2 dogs under the table + 3 kids at dinner = few leftovers

1 food writer + 1 literary agent = lots of anxiety

1 person tapering down valium + 4 normal members of the family = some grouchiness

2 dogs who pretend to be protective + UPS or USPS or FedEX truck = bark, bark, bark…

3 kids on a no tv/no computer + 2 days = lots of complaining

Littlest Pet Shop toys & Lego + 3 girls =  hours of play

1 assignment for a page of writing + 1 9 year old girl geek = an essay on why Stargate is great
