“Ra, don’t eat the library book!”
“Ra, no bite the laptop!”
“BG, we can’t keep all the broken toys missing parts”
“I don’t see any toys on the grass.” (says the child surrounded by toys…)
“No bite!” (over and over and over) followed by “Gentle!”
“Sit. Good dog!” (he figured it out!)
“Mom, that is so lame” (I attempted graphic design. ’nuff said)
“I found my roller skates!” (followed by an entire day of hearing skates on the hardwood floors)
“Max and Fang arrived!” (we won a few Barbies on eBay to make “Maximum Ride” action figures)

Happy Birthday!!
Ra is very cute.
Happy birthday week!
Since I don’t think you’ve had a young dog with the kids, here’s something to file away
Some dogs take well played with (read favorite!) kid toys to chew on when their family is away. It’s more likely to start during teethign.
I’ve never taught an obedience class where I didn’t have either this or a dog doing the same for dirty socks/underwear. It’s the same thing either way – they’re going for something that has a strong smell of family.
Kids don’t always appreciate the love when it’s their toys though.
It helps though if they know that the pup isn’t doing it out of meaness or anger.
Barbies are particular favorites – they probably have a good chew feel as well as the good smells.
